Meet Our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is composed of experienced professionals, thought leaders, and changemakers who share a commitment to conservation, sustainability, and community empowerment.

Through strategic guidance, governance oversight, and unwavering support, the Board helps shape the organization’s direction and ensures that our programs remain impactful, accountable, and aligned with our mission. Their collective expertise strengthens our ability to address environmental challenges, promote sustainable livelihoods, and build resilient communities across Cameroon and beyond.
Together, they provide the vision and leadership that enable ACES to grow, innovate, and create positive change for future generations.

Gwendoline Angwa – Founder & CEO

Gwendoline Angwa is a conservationist with over a decade of experience in protected areas management, wildlife research, and community-led development across Cameroon. She founded ACES in 2021 to address species extinction and habitat degradation while prioritizing local community well being. She holds full accountability for program lifecycle management, from strategic planning and grant writing to implementation and donor reporting. Previously, she served as Country Coordinator for CBBM and held multiple roles at ERuDeF, including Regional Manager for the Deng Deng Dja Conservation Corridor and Manager of the Great Apes Conservation Initiative. Gwendoline holds an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and a BSc in Zoology. She is passionate about evidence based, collaborative conservation that delivers lasting outcomes for both nature and people.

Philip Tem Dia – Board Member

Philip Tem Dia is a biodiversity and landscape management specialist with extensive experience across Central and West Africa. He currently serves as Biodiversity Offset Manager at Nachtigal Hydro Power Company in Cameroon, where he leads practical solutions to balance infrastructure development with conservation outcomes. Previously, Philip held key roles at Fauna & Flora International (FFI) and WWF, including Landscape Manager in South Sudan, Site Manager for the Wonegizi & Wologizi landscape in Liberia, and Technical Advisor for the Tri-Nationale de la Sangha (TNS) Programme. His expertise spans project coordination, stakeholder engagement, law enforcement support, biological monitoring, and financial compliance. Philip holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Buea, Cameroon. As a Board Member of ACES, Philip contributes his time and expertise freely to help guide the organization’s strategic growth, strengthen its conservation impact, and foster durable partnerships across the region.

Ntui Ebob Ojong Michelline – Board Member

Ntui Ebob Ojong Michelline is a results-driven project and program management professional with over a decade of experience in business development, climate-smart agriculture, value chain approaches, food systems, ESG, gender and climate change. She currently serves as Senior Manager (Programs Development) at Earthworm Foundation in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where she leads business development, fundraising, partnership creation, and the development of training modules on regenerative agriculture, farm best management practices, human and child rights, and gender-based violence. Previously, Michelline was Sustainability Certification and Operations Coordinator at Barry Callebaut Group, overseeing traceability, certification, and farmer training across Cameroon and Nigeria. She successfully increased certified bean sourcing by over 40%, established 100 farmer field schools within six months, and distributed more than 50,000 hybrid cocoa plants and 20,000 shade trees to promote carbon positivity and income diversification. Her earlier roles include Senior Project Manager at G&G International Supplies, Departmental Manager (Agro-Environmental Education) with Education Cameroon, and Associate Cocoa Productivity & Research Development Supervisor at the Institute of Agricultural Research for Development. She holds a Master of Science in Agroforestry and Climate Change from the Indian Management School & Research Centre and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Buea.
