Climate change is a pressing issue that requires urgent attention. We advocate for climate justice by raising awareness about the disproportionate impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities and advocating for equitable, just, and sustainable solutions. We collaborate with local and international partners to influence policy-making, promote renewable energy, and support climate adaptation and mitigation efforts.
Project implementation approaches
To ensure our projects are not only successful in achieving their conservation and environmental protection goals but also in supporting and empowering local communities, we typically follow a participatory and collaborative model which includes;
1. Stakeholder Engagement: we engage all relevant stakeholders, including community members, local government, indigenous groups, and other local organizations. Their inputs are included in the project planning stages, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
2. Participatory Planning: Our project design is inclusive and participatory, ensuring that all stakeholders can contribute their perspectives and insights. This helps us to ensure the project is culturally sensitive and locally appropriate.
3. Capacity Building: our projects always aim to build local capacity wherever possible, such as through training programs or the creation of local jobs. This helps us to ensure the project’s long-term sustainability.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regular monitoring and evaluation are conducted to assess project performance and make necessary adjustments. We use both quantitative measures (e.g. conservation targets achieved) and qualitative measures (e.g. community satisfaction).
5. Feedback and Adaptation: Feedback from community members and other stakeholders actively sought and incorporated into ongoing project management. This can help to ensure the project remains responsive to local needs and situations.
